Volleyball Recap: Liberty Center Comes Up Short

If Liberty Center was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wayne Trace on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbold Blue Streaks on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Liberty Center ultimately came up short, they really made Archbold work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14, 7-25, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Liberty Center still got an impressive performance from Chloe Mohler, who had 15 digs and three aces. Mohler is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

Liberty Center's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Archbold, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Center will square off against Tinora at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Archbold, they will challenge Defiance at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
