Softball Recap: Vernonia Comes Up Short

Vernonia lost against Knappa on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Vernonia came up short against Knappa, falling 15-2. Vernonia has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lila Eckert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Vernonia's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Knappa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Knappa will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Vernonia will be paying especially close attention to Knappa's game: after Knappa faces off against Non Varsity Opponent, they'll take on Vernonia again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
