Algoma hadn't done well against Southern Door recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wolves walked away with a 60-49 victory over the Eagles. The 60-point effort marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Algoma and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Southern Door, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Algoma will venture away from home to square off against Luxemburg-Casco at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southern Door, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Green Bay Preble on the 29th.
