Basketball Recap: Brian Mcmahon and Bryson Fenwick Secure Win for Chopticon

Chopticon entered their tilt with McDonough on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over the McDonough Rams. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Braves have posted since December 9, 2024.

Chopticon was led to victory by Bryson Fenwick and Brian McMahon. Fenwick dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while McMahon went 7 for 11 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Fenwick is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Waddell, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

The win got Chopticon back to even at 6-6. As for McDonough, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chopticon will welcome Thomas Stone at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chopticon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for McDonough, they will square off against Patuxent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McDonough is facing Patuxent at the right time seeing as Patuxent is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
