Shelby Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 40-18 to the Eastern Eagles. That makes it the first time this season the Wildcats have let down their home crowd.

Eastern found their leader in underclassman Treyvon Bearhs, who rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Bearhs' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 128 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Shelby Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-4. As for Eastern, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelby Valley will challenge Perry County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern, they will face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully East likes a good challenge.
