Basketball Recap: Cherokee Victorious

The Cherokee Chiefs were able to grind out a solid win over the Fulton Falcons on Saturday, taking the game 78-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chiefs.

Kenady Deal had a dynamite game, shooting 64% from beyond the arc en route to 36 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Rylee Sivert, who went 8-for-19 to rack up 19 points and six rebounds.

Cherokee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January.

Cherokee's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fulton, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Cherokee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-23 win against Cumberland Gap on the 25th. As for Fulton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-50 victory against Cosby on the 22nd.
