Basketball Recap: West Stanly Takes a Loss

West Stanly suffered their biggest loss since February 25th on Monday. They were dealt a 69-38 defeat at the hands of the Christ the King Crusaders. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christ the King found their leader in sophomore Anna Haynes, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards. The matchup was Haynes' eighth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Rosie Gorman, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds.

West Stanly's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Christ the King, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, West Stanly won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hopewell at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Christ the King, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Independence at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
