Soccer Recap: Morgan Park Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus, Morgan Park Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Beacon Academy Trailblazers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Morgan Park Academy needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

They hit Beacon Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lavenia Liang (2), Asha Hawkins, Zoya D'Antignac, and Zulema Jaime.

Morgan Park Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Beacon Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morgan Park Academy will take on rival British International School of Chicago at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Beacon Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Lycee Francais de Chicago at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
