Albemarle has gone 8-2 against Fluvanna County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Flying Flucos at 7:15 p.m. Albemarle will be strutting in after a victory while Fluvanna County will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Albemarle made easy work of Charlottesville and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Fluvanna County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Monticello, falling 3-0.

While Fluvanna County had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Fluvanna County's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Albemarle couldn't quite get it done against Fluvanna County when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
