Trenton has gone 8-2 against Carlson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will face off against the Marauders at 4:30 p.m. Neither Trenton nor Carlson posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Trenton will face Carlson after dropping another heartbreaker against Allen Park on Monday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 2.1 of beating them. The Trojans fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Joel Mator was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out 12 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Trenton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Rooney, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Carlson and Anderson have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Marauders took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Carlson's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Trenton, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trenton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Carlson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Trenton skirted past Carlson 8-7 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
