The Capital Golden Eagles will face off against the Ridgevue Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Capital is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.

Capital is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Rocky Mountain, who was ranked 15th at the time (Capital was ranked fourth). The Golden Eagles took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

McKenna Chavez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Audrey McKibben was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Ridgevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 13-8 to Centennial. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Warhawks' highest-scoring match to date.

Ridgevue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Capital, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Capital took their win against Ridgevue in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 27-0 score. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
