Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Christian Comes Up Short

If Lafayette Christian was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of CrossPointe Christian Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the Ballard Christian Eagle on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Eagle recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-22.

Chloe Firth paced Lafayette Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Firth got some help from Samantha Butler and her seven assists. Ellakate Firth controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lafayette Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ballard Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Lafayette Christian will head out on the road to square off against Holy Ground Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ballard Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Evangel Christian at 5:00 p.m.
