Palmyra put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Gettysburg Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Jonathan Strohecker tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Palmyra's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Julian Meley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Meley has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Palmyra's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Gettysburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

Palmyra wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Red Land on the 14th. As for Gettysburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Lower Dauphin on the 14th.
