Football Recap: Richmond Senior Falls to Hoggard in First Game of Season

Richmond Senior had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 28-21 to the Hoggard Vikings.

Matthew Boring was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 202 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.1% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 16 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Looking ahead, Richmond Senior will host Scotland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hoggard, they will head out on the road to square off against Jack Britt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
