Basketball Recap: Lehman Comes Up Short

Lehman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-41 loss at the hands of the Cedar Park Timberwolves. The Lobos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

Lehman lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gunner Winiecki, who posted 14 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Serna, who scored eight points and six boards.

Lehman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Cedar Park, they moved to 11-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lehman and Cedar Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lehman will square off against Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 623 places (1011 vs. 388). Meanwhile, Cedar Park (ranked 561st) will meet Leander (ranked 113th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
