Softball Game Preview: Wheaton Academy Warriors vs. Chicago Christian Knights

The Wheaton Academy Warriors will challenge the Chicago Christian Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Wheaton Academy headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Chicago Christian let them put that streak behind them. The Warriors put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 18-5 win on Monday. The Warriors not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Reese Dryfhout, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Olivia Stary was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Wheaton Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chicago Christian struck out seven times.

Chicago Christian is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Wheaton Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
