Baseball Game Preview: St. Raymond Boys Ravens vs. Cardinal Hayes Cardinals

The St. Raymond Boys Ravens are taking a road trip to face off against the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Raymond Boys will be strutting in after a victory while Cardinal Hayes will be coming in after a defeat.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times St. Raymond Boys and Regis had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Ravens narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Raiders 3-1. The game was the first time the Ravens have beaten the Raiders on their field since April 28, 2019.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Hayes might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was All Hallows who claimed the real prize. The Cardinals lost 15-6 to the Gaels. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fausto Dominguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Cepeda, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

St. Raymond Boys' victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1. As for Cardinal Hayes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16-1.
