If California was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Monte Vista last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Ramon Valley Wolves on Tuesday. The Grizzlies' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 12-25, 25-14, 25-19.

Chase Dutcher paced California's offense, picking up nine kills. Dutcher got some help from Beau Banta and his 34 assists. Dutcher was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

California's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for San Ramon Valley, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

California wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Foothill on the 24th. As for San Ramon Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Dougherty Valley on the 24th.
