Basketball Recap: Cement Gets the Win

Cement took a 24-point loss the last time they faced off against Fox, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs slipped by the Foxes 1-0 on Thursday. The one-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win made it two in a row for Cement and bumps their season record up to 6-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 18 points in those games. As for Fox, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Cement will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Union City at 6:00 p.m. on February 3. As for Fox, they have already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Elmore City-Pernell on the 16th.
