Baseball Recap: Beckman Comes Up Short

Beckman was the 4-1 winner over Capistrano Valley when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday.

Beckman has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8-1 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Capistrano Valley, they moved to 7-16 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

While Beckman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
