Basketball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Yazoo City

After losing to Greenville the last time they met, Yazoo City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Yazoo City Indians came out on top against the Greenville Hornets by a score of 51-40 on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Greenville lost, don't look at Charlisa Barney. Despite the final result, she posted 17 points and three steals. Barney's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Coriyonna Brown was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Yazoo City pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Greenville, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
