Marshalltown took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Fort Dodge Dodgers 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Dodgers: they've now won three in a row.

Marshalltown wouldn't go down easily and took Fort Dodge into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-15, 28-26, 21-25, 15-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marshalltown will challenge rival Hoover at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fort Dodge is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
