The Florence-Carlton Falcons will face off against the Lincoln County Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Florence-Carlton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Florence-Carlton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Powell County 61-6. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Wardens recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Florence-Carlton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mattix Chase, who rushed for 54 yards and one touchdown. Those 54 rushing yards gave Chase a new career-high. Tash Murray was in the mix as well, providing Florence-Carlton with one score.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Florence-Carlton proved: they limited Powell County to a paltry -1.1 yards per carry. While one picked up at least six total tackles, Chase stood above the rest. He rushed for 54 yards and one TD. Florence-Carlton didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 14.6.
Florence-Carlton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Chase Wagner and Brody Duchien. Duchien got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Lincoln County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Loyola-Sacred Heart on Friday, but they still walked away with a 36-30 win.
Florence-Carlton better keep an eye on Rogan Lytle. He was instrumental in Lincoln County's win, rushing for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 40 yards and one TD. Lytle also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). Josh Lambertsen was another key player, rushing for 59 yards and a pair of scores.
Florence-Carlton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Florence-Carlton strolled past Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 17-0. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
