Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Triumphs

Bishop Moore had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Eustis Panthers on Friday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

JT Costello tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Nate Davis was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run. Gray Mosley was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Bishop Moore's record is now 28-2. As for Eustis, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

Bishop Moore will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
