Baseball Game Preview: Carson Senators vs. Galena Grizzlies

Carson hasn't had much luck against Galena recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Senators will host the Grizzlies at 3:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Carson is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Manogue.

Carson got a good showing from Max Mendoza, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mendoza has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Galena faced Bishop Manogue in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Grizzlies fell 5-0 to the Miners. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Grizzlies were not able to get on the board.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Galena, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
