Eagle River faced Bettye Davis East Anchorage in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolves blew past the Thunderbirds 15-0. Considering the Wolves have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Inoa Wakinekona made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Mullen, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Eagle River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .810. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eagle River has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bettye Davis East Anchorage, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
