Basketball Recap: Henryville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Austin

Henryville scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 57-47 to the Austin Eagles. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Henryville lost, don't look at Landon Dobbs. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points and seven boards. Those 15 points gave Dobbs a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Cooper, who earned nine points.

Henryville's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Austin, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Henryville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-31 victory against Medora on the 14th. As for Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-30 defeat against Corydon Central on the 14th.
