Soccer Game Preview: Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth vs. St. Teresa

The Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth Cardinals will head out to take on the St. Teresa Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Arthur-Okaw Christian on Tuesday. They came up short against the Conquering Riders, falling 6-1. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, St. Teresa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to St. Thomas More. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly St. Teresa struggled afterwards.

St. Teresa now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9-1.

Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth was able to grind out a solid win over St. Teresa in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
