Softball Recap: Wapsie Valley Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Wapsie Valley entered their tilt with Clayton-Ridge on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Wapsie Valley pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wapsie Valley will venture away from home to face off against Union at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.57 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clayton-Ridge, they will head out to take on Cascade at 5:00 p.m. on the 16th.
