Softball Recap: Tenafly Takes a Loss

Tenafly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-4 to the Bergenfield Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on April 7th.

Tenafly saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Lines, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Lines is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Tenafly's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Bergenfield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tenafly is set to take on their familiar foe Teaneck at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bergenfield will challenge rival NV - Demarest at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
