The Palisades Dolphins are taking a road trip to take on the Fairfax Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Palisades is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

While Palisades' win against University wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dolphins won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 7-6.

Sarah Feldman looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kharlee Sanders, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Heather Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Fairfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against North Hollywood, falling 11-0.

Fairfax's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Palisades, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Palisades hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Fairfax struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Palisades took their win against Fairfax when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Dolphins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
