Volleyball Recap: Jayda Phasakda and Anna Cheatham Secure Win for Clovis East

Clovis East won the last time they faced Bullard and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Timberwolves won by a set and slipped past the Knights 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Clovis East got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 19-25, 25-13, 18-25, 15-12.

Clovis East was led to victory by Anna Cheatham and Jayda Phasakda. Cheatham had 18 digs and three aces, while Phasakda had 25 assists and five digs. Those 25 assists gave Phasakda a new career-high.

Clovis East's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Bullard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.

After both having extra time off, Clovis East and Justin Garza will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bullard, they are taking a road trip to square off against Buchanan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
