Eunice proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Hagerman Bobcats 3-2. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (109-103) Eunice actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 14-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Eunice's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Hagerman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eunice will take on rival Texico at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hagerman is set to face off against their familiar foe Tatum at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
