Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cameron Marshburn and Jenna Jackson Lead Clinton to Victory + How To Watch

Clinton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the South Lenoir Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Clinton walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 26-24, 26-28, 25-15, 25-16.

Clinton was led to victory by Jenna Jackson and Cameron Marshburn. Jackson had 15 digs and four aces, while Marshburn had 34 digs and four aces. Marshburn has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Johnson, who had 24 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Clinton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.

Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for South Lenoir, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will welcome Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Lenoir, they will host Pender at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
