Baseball Recap: Roseville Makes It Four in a Row at Home

While Roseville put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for River Valley. Roseville blew past River Valley 14-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Austin Chang looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Kyle Pettersen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, he posted four RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyrus Young, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Roseville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Roseville's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for River Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
