Recap: Schley County Wildcats vs. Macon County Bulldogs
The Schley County Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Macon County 42-36. Schley County lost against Macon County in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-35 score last time.
Macon County found their leader in underclassman Aliyah Lake, who scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lake has scored at least 25% of Macon County's points. Another player making a difference was Aniah Lake, who scored eight points.
Schley County's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Macon County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Schley County will head out on the road to face off against Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Taylor County will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Macon County will take on Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Marion County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
