Soccer Game Preview: Lake Highlands vs. Nimitz

The Lake Highlands Wildcats will face off against the Nimitz Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Highlands is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Lake Highlands' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Berkner 7-0. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than four goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Nimitz hasn't lost a match since January 7th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Irving finished up their game with a 0-0 draw.

Lake Highlands' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matches. Nimitz's draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-3.

Everything went Lake Highlands' way against Nimitz in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Lake Highlands made off with a 3-0 win. Will Lake Highlands repeat their success, or does Nimitz have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
