Volleyball Game Preview: Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights vs. Tyler Knights

The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights will head out on the road to take on the Tyler Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Wheeling Central Catholic can't be too worried about heading out to take on Tyler: they just beat Columbiana at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Maroon Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Clippers on Thursday.

While Wheeling Central Catholic won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Tyler had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Red Riders as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 22-20.

Tyler's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Wheeling Central Catholic skirted past Tyler 2-1 when the teams last played last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Maroon Knights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
