Basketball Recap: Arapahoe Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Desi Farner and Cadence Carpenter

After flying high against Medicine Valley on Friday, Arapahoe came back down to earth. The Arapahoe Warriors took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Valley Eagles. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 17-8 in the first quarter.

Arapahoe's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Cadence Carpenter and Desi Farner. Carpenter posted nine points, while Farner put up ten points.

Even though they lost, Arapahoe was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Arapahoe's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Southern Valley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Arapahoe will host Loomis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Arapahoe is facing Loomis at the right time seeing as Loomis is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Southern Valley, they will take on Chase County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
