Gunnison came out on top against Aspen on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Cowboys walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Skiers. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gunnison pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Aspen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Skiers beat Gunnison by a score of 2-1 later that day.
