Football Recap: Riverdale Piles Up the Points Against Stewarts Creek

Riverdale won the last time they faced Stewarts Creek and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Hawks 35-7. With the Warriors ahead 35-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

A big part of Riverdale's win came down to the chemistry between Gavin Hampton and his top target Luke Tritch. Hampton threw for 192 yards and one TD on only 17 passes while Tritch picked up 80 receiving yards and one touchdown. Tritch got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 55 yards.

Riverdale now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Stewarts Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 41-7 victory against Columbia Central on the 26th. As for Stewarts Creek, they have also already played their next game, a 35-0 win against LaVergne on the 26th.
