Calaveras owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. Everything went their way against the Everett Alvarez Eagles as they made off with a 9-0 victory. This was payback for the Red Hawks, who suffered an 8-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Braxton Hughart was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Hughart was also big at the plate, earning two RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Smith, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Ryan Dickinson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Calaveras always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Calaveras' win bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
