Basketball Game Preview: Miller Buccaneers vs. La Feria Lions

Miller has gone a perfect 3-0 against La Feria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Buccaneers will challenge the Lions at 2:00 p.m. Miller is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Miller strolled past Mercedes with points to spare, taking the game 68-50. The Buccaneers pushed the score to 56-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Charles Perry Jr was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a triple-double with 13 points, 12 assists, and ten steals. Perry Jr is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dexter Brantley Jr, who went 5-for-7 en route to 14 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for La Feria, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Macedonian Christian by a score of 73-60 on Monday.

Miller's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for La Feria, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Miller against La Feria in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured an 81-18 win. In that game, the Buccaneers amassed a halftime lead of 46-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
