Softball Recap: Morris Redskins vs. Plainfield South Cougars

Morris let Plainfield South stack four runs on them in the seventh inning on Thursday but luckily Morris prevailed anyway. The Redskins had just enough and edged out the Cougars 5-4. That's two games straight that the Redskins have won by just one run.

Mylie Hughes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
