Football Recap: Unity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Victory Christian on September 5th, Unity Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Soldiers took a 28-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy Tornadoes on Friday. The Soldiers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Demetrius Willams had an outrageously good game for Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy as he rushed for 77 yards and a pair of scores. Willams got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 53 yards. De'Jaivion Handy got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Unity Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

While Unity Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
