Volleyball Recap: Upper Scioto Valley Falls to Riverdale in First Game of Season

Upper Scioto Valley had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Riverdale Falcons. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Upper Scioto Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-21.

Raegan Castle paced Upper Scioto Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Castle got some help from Audrey Lawrence and her 14 assists. Lawrence was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Riverdale has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Upper Scioto Valley will venture away from home to face off against Arlington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Cory-Rawson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
