Basketball Recap: Chamois Gets the Win

After losing to Christian Fellowship the last time they met, Chamois decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chamois Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over Christian Fellowship on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Christian Fellowship lost, don't look at Luke Davis. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Davis is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ean Cornell, who posted six points and five boards.

Chamois' record is now 8-5. As for Christian Fellowship, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamois and Tuscumbia will face off at 7:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Christian Fellowship, they and Wright City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
