Football Recap: New Brockton Gamecocks vs. Opp Bobcats
New Brockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of the Opp Bobcats by a score of 30-27. While losing is never fun, the Gamecocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Bobcats are ranked 148th).
Opp can attribute much of their success to Kal Crittenden, who rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
New Brockton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Opp, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.
New Brockton will head out to take on Daleville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Opp, they will take on Pike County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Opp focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
