Volleyball Recap: Westville Takes a Loss

Westville had lost six straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 7-15 to make it seven. They fell 2-0 to the Valparaiso Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Wednesday.

Brayden Griffin paced Westville's offense, picking up five kills. Griffin got some help from Tyler Massengill and his eight assists.

As for Valparaiso, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Valparaiso can attribute much of their success to Camden Rasmussen, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Westville has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Hammond Bishop Noll on the 26th. As for Valparaiso, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Boone Grove on the 26th.
