Volleyball Recap: New Canaan's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Canaan can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Joel Barlow Falcons on Friday. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Nolan McLaughlin paced New Canaan's offense, picking up 20 kills. McLaughlin got some help from Dylan Ho and his 47 assists. Ho was also a major player on defense: he and Zane Tickoo shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

New Canaan's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Joel Barlow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

As of now, neither New Canaan nor Joel Barlow have any future games scheduled.
